March 2026
Note From Our Director

As we head into the heart of storm season this March, we’re taking proactive steps to ensure we’re ready to respond effectively, support our communities, and keep our operations strong no matter what weather comes our way. Here are some of the key preparations we’re putting in place:

Hiring Boost — We’ve brought on additional skilled team members in recent months to strengthen our capacity. These new hires bring fresh expertise and energy, positioning us well to handle increased demand during peak storm season.

Equipment Readiness — We’re actively prepping and upgrading our fleet and tools — everything from chainsaws and heavy machinery to protective gear and vehicles. Routine maintenance checks, inventory reviews, and strategic additions mean our equipment will be reliable and ready when calls come in and opportunities arise for us to serve.

Education Initiatives — We’re investing in ongoing learning for the team, including resources on networking, safety best practices, and Grindstone Ministries is setting the standard for efficient response protocols. This knowledge-sharing helps everyone stay sharp and confident.

Training Schedule — A full slate of hands-on training sessions is lined up for the coming weeks, covering everything from deployment drills to equipment operation refreshers and disaster response coordination exercises. These sessions are designed to build muscle memory so we can act swiftly and safely when storms hit.

Supporting Our People and Communities — At the core of what we do is helping those impacted, whether it’s assisting homeowners with cleanup, coordinating relief efforts, or providing resources to families in need. We’re prioritizing clear communication channels, support networks, and partnerships so we can step up for the people who count on us most. Our partnerships allow us to amplify the Father’s impact - Where if something is not in our wheelhouse we can help make a connection to another resource for those in need.

These efforts are all about being prepared, not scared. Storm season can bring challenges, but with our faith, giftings, talents, and delights, we’re built to weather it and come out stronger—together. If you have questions, ideas, or want to get involved in any of these areas, please reach out. Thank you for your hard work and dedication — let’s keep grinding so we are together through the season ahead.
